POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Repair Technician is responsible for repairing defective head units for Hyundai and Kia Motors, ensuring MRC provides quality products and service to our customers. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and operate test equipment to diagnose and confirm customer complaints. 
  • Inspect radio and navigation systems to determine repair requirements. 
  • Repair or replace defective parts and assemblies. 
  • Perform light surface-mount soldering as required. 
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and effective repairs of radio and navigation systems.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all field complaints documented by Mobis Quality. 
  • Analyze customer complaints and compare findings with Mobis Quality data. 
  • Review and investigate root causes of repeat (2nd) returns and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
  • College diploma or technical institute certification in Electronics Engineering or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and general computer literacy. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematic diagrams (preferred). 
  • Ability to repair radio and navigation systems with minimal training.  
  • Experience with surface-mount soldering techniques.

Working Conditions

Physical Effort:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about.  Occasionally required to stoop or lift light material or equipment. 

Physical Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area.  Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion, e.g., dust, moderate noise.

Sensory Attention:
Occasional need to give moderate attention, either hearing or seeing, to what is happening.

Mental Stress: 
Work and environment are very repetitious/unchanging.  There is noticeable pressure from deadlines, production requirements, accuracy or similar demands.  Unpleasant contacts and/or concern about unpleasant situations are probable.
